Yemoja or Yemaya is a protector of women nurturer of children. Her cowrie shells represent wealth, her staff or spear is a symbol of her royalty, and her snake is a symbol of divinity. She is an orisha, a creator goddess of the Yoruba tribe. I loved creating her! :-)
